Birkenstock

This is my first pair of Birkenstock. It is from the Papillio range. The name? Brasillia. Pretty complicated huh?

When I first saw it, I was really attracted to the bright green flower it has along with the strap which provided me with the support I needed. I was always imagining that sandals may fall off if I run or walk too fast.

However, when I wore it, I felt some discomfort on the foot bed. Hubby said that it will take some time for the sandal to adjust to my feet.

After a few days, the discomfort was gone and that is when I discovered some benefits of a Birkenstock.

The foot bed – It is made from cork and natural latex and is contoured to the shape of a healthy foot. And these are the contours you pay extra for since it helps to  distribute your weight evenly, thus preventing any injury to your legs and back. You can read more about it here.

Firm support for the feet – Everything from the wide toe area to the deep heel cups and to the arch support, the sandals is about providing you with ?rm, orthopedically correct support.

Contoured footbed encourages foot health – This is the main selling point for me. Prolonged wear helps with creating a healthy walking environment for your feet.

Isn’t it great? I really like my pair now although the initial cost is a little high. However, it is worth it since I feel really stable walking in it especially during the sales season!!!
